Let’s swap it out! Finding fair trade staples to build your wardrobe around can be a great way to maximize your sustainable style. As we continue to celebrate Fair Trade Month, we’d like to highlight a few more fair and fashionable brands to consider as you start to swap out pieces in your wardrobe for more ethically made items.
A really easy and fun way to “fair up” your closet is to start with your core pieces that are timeless and classic. I know I am always searching for styles that in the past I would have looked for at Banana Republic or J. Crew, but these days want to try to support brands that do a bit more for people and the planet!
First up is Known Supply, these plaid pants are a great piece that is sure to get tons of wears in the cooler weather. Very comparable to some of those preppy brands, but even better in quality and of course ethics.
Another personal fave is Liz Alig. The entire fall collection makes me swoon. I already own one super cozy sweater and am eyeing this one to add to my small, but mighty sweater collection. Pro tip, get on their email address, they really have some great sale and behind the scenes info that I always love checking out.
And finally to really hit you with all the fall feels, we’ve got this half zip fleece from Prana. Not all the clothing produced by Prana is fair trade certified, and they are definitely the largest brand we’ve highlighted here, but they are taking some real measures to make their production practices better for the planet (and its people).
These contemporary styles just happen to pair beautifully with our new Geo Print Collection if we do say so ourselves! Our new fall designs are classic, and made to last from one season to the next. Shop them all here.
